Anyone like to come on a Triumph run through Shropshire? So far about 10 Triumph drivers have said they're up for it so on Sunday 28th May we're going on a run starting at Coalport in Telford at 11:00am and making our way to the glorious scenery of the Long Mynd at Church Stretton (thanks for the suggestion James) returning via Craven Arms and finishing up at a riverside pub in Coalport (subject to approval from the landlord). This route takes in some superb country routes with a mixture of country lanes, long sweeping roads, a couple of steep hills, and one or two opportunities for photo-shoots.

This is an easy route and we can take as long as we like so even the most dilapidated cars can join in, no fund raising, no raffle tickets, no racing, no treasure hunt, no ulterior motive, non-TSSC members very welcome, etc - just an afternoon of Triumph fun.

It would be great to see a cavalcade of Triumphs in our Shropshire roads and lanes - I know you're out there 'cos I've seen you around.

If anyone interested in joining us on this outing and hasn't already provided me with their email address please do so soon as it's only just over one week away. We will be meeting at Telford at 11:00am on Sunday 28th May and covering 71 miles of Shropshire country roads. Feel free to join us either for the whole run or maybe join us part way round, or even just meet us at The Woodbridge Inn at the end.

So far about 15 people have expressed an interest, if anyone else wants to join us then please email me at steve_cureton@yahoo.co.uk and I will send out the specific details. Those who have already emailed can expect the details later today.

The Woodbridge do provide a carvery which needs to be booked in advance and I will include the details in my email, along with the URL for a web site where you can check out a review.

The Shropshire run took place on Sunday and what a great day it was. Fourteen Triumphs attended including Herald 13/60, Herald 13/60 Estate, couple of Vitesse, several Spitfires, TR5, TR6, GT6, and a Stag. If anyone is interested the following link will take you to the photographs -

Hadn't noticed your 13/60 was a Tristan conversion before. Only ever seen Vit conversions how many more do you think there might be?

Jonathan, likewise I've only just noticed your signature and seen your profile, before that mine was the only one I've ever seen. Some people don't like the look of them but I think they look pretty smart. The only thing that let's them down is the way they fold down, on the other hand they seem more weatherproof than a standard rag top.

I too like the look and only use the rag top if caught in a shower. The rear end is a bit messy but you don't lose the space behind the seats.

I didn't convert mine, and to be honest probably wouldn't of cut a decent enough hard top. However, the T bar is now 25% of her life and I suppose this should be celebrated and I love her as she is! There was another at Duxford and someone else asking if the conversion was still available! Another splinter group, tristan.com perhaps!!??

Just remembered ,2nd Duxford T bar was a herald from Lincs with a 1500 engine I think?! Come on, put your hands up !

I was asked by a guy at Stafford last year (Dutch guy I think) where he could get one from, he'd heard of them but never seen one before.
