Just spent the day at the three Counties Showground in Malvern at the TR Registers event. Had an enjoyable time walking around once we had got over the shock of the entry price (&163;14 each for a day pass - although we did get a nice reasonable chap on the gate who let us in for the members price of &163;10 each!)
Many thanks to all of you who took the trouble to come up and talk to us about Stafford next year. We are looking at many of the ideas and have had several new traders approach us about attending in 2007.

Makes Stafford look like excellent value, doesn't it? I went to a local show last year and spent more pounds to get in than minutes I spent inside the show.

  The gate price is not necessarily the most important factor. It is what is available when you get in.
  
  Just think how much do you spend when you go out to see a film - cinema ticket, parking drinks etc.
  
  What I liked about this event last time I went was the number of traders compared to our international.

    I agree - there were a few more traders than at Stafford but I did notice that most of them catered solely for the TR range. However we have spoken to several of them with a view to them attending next year. We also spoke to several who didn't realise that we covered other vehicles now (ie stag, etc). They also have expressed an interest in coming next year.
    Several other car clubs have been extended an invitation to attend too.

      It's also worth noting that we lost 4 main hall traders and 1 autojumble trader to Le Mans this year

        We can only think of 1 main hall trader lost to the LeMans trip..... and he may in hindsight be wishing he had gone to Stafford ...
        
        But we can think of 2/3 regular Auto Jumblers who went to France...... (myself included).
        
        (Is an AutoJumble trader different???)

        Only that an autojumble trader ( I class these as someone who earns the majority off their living from selling Triumph parts ) is outside in the car park rather than inside Bingley Hall.
        
        I've always prefered the main traders, those who advertise in the " Courier " to be in Bingley Hall and for the autojumble area to be for members selling bits & pieces etc.

        to get the traders there it has to be free for them to make the effort of filling a van going to the event with no guarantee they will make it worth there while, i also went to the t r meet that's how Stafford use to be and more so, maybe tr owners spend more at shows
