    I guess that means that the Traffic should be pretty light as most people will be at home or down the pub watching the match.......

      kick off 2pm?, may pop up for midday then, and get home again for the match. I guess it depends on where you live.

        I have heard some people are getting their earlier, then heading home, or to one of the local pubs in the area around the Ace.
        
        I spoke to the Ace last night, and as yet, they are still waiting for the TV ariel to be repaired, but you can still watch it (although a little fuzzy) on their TV if you want to stay and watch the match, then carry on after.
        
        Anyway, weather forcast is great, so sitting outside in a Triumph, with other Triumphs, at a English historic place that sells cold beer and have the option to watch the match, sounds preety cool to me!

          I mentioned to my sister Lizzie (ex TSSC Essex now into Bikes!) that I was thinking of going to the Triumph day at the Ace this Saturday, she just called me as she was their tonight at an Italian Bike do and she noticed that the Triumph Day is actually on Sunday the 11th not Saturday 10th. Just checked the Ace's website and this also states 11th so don't know why some people had the impression it was Saturday?????

          The good news is that it doesn't clash with the footy, the bad news is that I can't go as I already have tickets for the Mini Cooper day at Beaulieu on the 11th.....

              Well of course VIn but as I got some cheap tickets through the Mini Cooper club I didn't want to let on that I only really wanted to go was for the scrapheap sofa race.......
              
              Don't worry, we intend to come and cheer you guys on.....

                Please note -
                
                Ace cafe for Triumph Cars and some bikes is Saturday. Full Triumph bike day with Triumph Motorbikes UK and lots of other things is on Sunday.
                
                I know a couple other Triumph car clubs are heading there for Saturday.

                  Spitfire Aces are being called for 'srutineering' at 0850 (bit like Triumph racing!), don't know much more than that. Last year the competition was through out the day, we didn't know when we were on until half an hour before we were on and there were four on at a time. This year it's a race two at a time.
                  
                  It's telly luvvy, it's all very dynamic!
                  
                  I can gaurantee that all the other machines will be spectacular (ever seen a bath race around a go -kart track with an engine?), spectacularly brilliant (like our motorised pc) or spectacular flops!
                  
                  Last year a team made a full scale model of a space ship a film set would be proud of, check out the channel four website

                    To add yet further to the confusion, something I am good at, I believe there are also Triumph Spitfire and Triumph TR6 motorbikes!
