    Yes it was a bit of a bum steer Don... thats why it took me so bloody long to get home then!

    Ahhh well... at least I got to drive my Spit lots... probably the first real proper drive since I got it a couple of months ago... but I soooo need that OD...

    Audley End... hmmm, it was glorius, would make a good venue, but then again Duxford makes a good venue too...
    
    I think Duxford is more up my street, planes, spannering, pleasure flights, triumphs... aaaah, What a fab day out.

        It was quite a trek for me but well worth it. Got to see James not attached to the computer and Don without pizza stains on his shirt, two very rare sights indeed !!
        It was great to put faces to names, 'Hi' to everyone and thanks again for all the advice and help !! Helen.

        I'm not always attached to the computer, sometimes Im attached to my Spitfire too... :oP
        
        But up north, is, well, like, up north... that's like miles away...
        
        Well, next year there are lots of races up north... including the race meeting at Oulton Park... ;o) and thats a very long way to go in one day... ;o)...

        Excellent day out except for traffic jam on M11 on way home when after pissing about at 5mph for about 3 miles my Vitesse decided enough was enough and vaporised its petrol. Spent a pleasant half hour under trees on embankment whilst it turned back into liquid.

        The clever people took the B184 down to Great Dunmow ... something to remember next time... a great drive too!
        
        However this rather unclever person decided to take it a step further and take the B184 as far as he could, but some how ended up near Chelmsford
        
        This almost tripling the time it took me to get home!
