Event previews and reviews - what events are you going to, and what events have you been to?
Not sure if this kind of event has been tried before, but it came up for discussion at our local area Hants & Berks AGM this week.
A few of us went go-karting at Aldershot recently. We had a really great time. The track includes a flyover, and the average lap time was just over 30
seconds.
Anyone interested in taking part in a TSSC Go-Karting event?

This could be an inter-Area event. If anyone has any further ideas or suggestions, (different venue or setup), please let me know.

I'd be interested - even more if skinny blokes were forced to carry ballast so us fat gits got a look in! It's all about power to weight ratio and
mine's appaulling - of course there's a racing driver in here somewhere :-)

what you need is Karting in the rain, evens things up a lot as the extra weight aids traction.
Worked for me!!

No trouble getting into a Spit :-) Or any Triumph really - I just need to carry a large shoe horn to get into a kart but it is great fun!!

I take that some club members have trouble getting in and out of a Spitfire, let alone a kart!

We have been talking about doing a karting evening at the Newbury area but not everybody was in favour. I think some of us don't like being beaten!
(Literally)! There are three or four of us that are keen.
Sean.

Hi Craig
Herts and Beds are up for it, but how about having regional heats and the finals at stafford in July when most of the areas should be together

We've had a good response from many Area Members and Area Organisers. Possible venue could be around the Milton Keynes area. Even the boys and girls at
the Club HQ are going to put forward a team. Please let me know if you are interested in taking part. Possible dates would be spring/early summer.

I'm game. There's a Daytona circuit in MK, a circuit at Silverstone and a good indoor ciruit (on two levels - woo!) in Aylesbury.
When I finally get around to going to a meet of the South Bucks group I'll put it to them too. If you start to firm up ideas, contact me on

Watch out - you may attract some of the spitfire racing guys. I started by Go-Karting and now I race.
To be fair you should politely ask for TSSC racers to abstain from this one to give everyone else a chance - or are you up for the challenge! brmm.
Most of us are 'jockeys' you know.

I know things are a bit slow on these dull January days, but replying to 4 year old threads is soooo last year !
