Does anyone have any information on the fitment of the 'Triumph Pony' 4WD gearbox to the FWD 1300 or 1500?

A couple of days research on the net, some emails exchanged and an interesting trip into the netherwold of the Israeli Military has revealed
the following -
It's been done and looked interesting. 1969 - 4 door Triumph 1300, Le Mans Spitfire 70X spec engine, 2000 LSD rear end and Triumph Pony/Israeli
Autocars Dragoon 4wd system. Driven to first place Feb 69 by Brian Culcheth at a televised Autocross at Lydden in Kent (wonder where that
footage would be now?). In an event later in the same year at High Egdorough (wherever that is) the car broke a trailing arm, rolled and was
comprehensively written off. I was sent a spectacular picture of Brian Culcheth rolling it.
As for the Pony, it was manufactured in Israel by Autocars Co Ltd (Israel) and sold to the Israeli army and for export (from Israel) it had
both 1300 and 1500 engines with flatbed, pick-up and tanker bodies. It looks like the product of an unholy union between a forward control
Landrover and a mutant Mini Moke.
Make one, you know it makes sense. Now who has a spare 70X engine lying around?!

I think you know how well upto my neck in projects I am at the moment - something in excess of 10 Heralds, only one of which has an MOT, plus
the daily driver Mk1 2000 to look after and an immobile Skoda Rapid cabriolet festering in the garden.
Cheers,
Bill.

So what, if any, are your thoughts on the centre differential? I only ask as at the moment it seems to be the only sticking point in the
whole cunning plan!
