Hi,
just wondering if anybody has had a problem with the fuel pump losing oil from the breather hole? I have replaced the pump but the problem has returned.
What could be causing the back pressure (if this is the problem) and how can it be cured?
Cheers
Andy

I don't know about Dolomites but my Spitfire 1500 appears to do the same thing. I've never managed to catch it in the act but I often have a light
coating of oil on top of my starter motor which is directly beneath the pump.
It's done this with two pumps now and I've stopped worrying about it. Doesn't seems to cause any problems.
If you have a more serious oil dispensing problem then it's probably something else.
I know this reply is a bit late but I don't read the Dolomite forum very often :-)
