Hi folks, just about to get my spitfire MOT'd and was wondering which breakdown/recovery company deals best with our faithful old classics. Ive been a
member of the AA for years and always received a great service, however the price seems to just keep rising. Just wondering which companies other members
use and do they feel they get value for money. in most cases i always have a go at repairs myself but there is always that time when youre miles away from
home and the local mechanic is 12 years old and has never seen a distributor before! any info appreciated.

when you take out your car insurance you can add breakdown and recovery
to your insurance. on a classis car.
p.s. you should not pay no more than £90/£120
try this number 01277206911 the name is p/r.
all the best

doesn't the club insurance include breakdown cover gratis?? I have used it several times, some experiences better than others, but thats down to
the mechanic who turns up. Callout times pretty ok though, and always got what I needed, sometimes it needed a replacement"mechanic" though. The
worst one was a bloke in his 50's who apparently did his apprenticeship on Triumphs, but still couldn't get it on his dolly (snapped VL) a 20 year
old turned up, couldn't have been better!

Well, I have the standard FJ club package, their cover has been good, especially for getting me home. Mind you haven't called them for a
potentially roadside fixable job yet.
Have AA membership included with services from bank. Have probably cost them a small fortune in last couple of years. They have always been
really good - mechanics have used some initiative to keep me going when I thought it was a trailer job and when it has been they have been
fairly hassle free. last time as it was really horrible weather and flatbed was delayed they sent another man in a van to check and reassure me
- plus the text messages are handy fr waking you up from dozing on the embankment in the sunshine whilst waiting....
Not that I break down every month you understand - it just feels like it!!!
Now up to 244 hassle free miles (in 3 days) since last drama - limped home with that one - That's the car hassle free - not the
roads/floods/jams!!!
