If any one is interested in a heated screen, please register your interest here.
Current project is for heated front and rear screens for the Herald/Vitesse and heated rear screens for the GT6.
All screens are laminated.
The minimum production run is 15. So when we reach 15 names for each type I'll contact all by PM to confirm.
Prices are from £140 for the front, £120 for the GT6 rear screen and £140 for the Herald/Vitesse rear, all subject
to VAT.
I'd like a Vitesse front.
Next, please.

Definately Interested in a gt6 rear (a quick clear front would be good too for gt6/spitfire)
Cheers

Heated Screens?
Heated Seats?
Air Conditioning?
Cruise Control?
Automatic Gearboxes?
GPS?
ICE?
Oh dear, I must be missing something, getting old perhaps, or is the post-feminist society creating girlie-men out of Triumph Sports car
drivers?
What happened to all the real Blokes out there, perhaps they've all gone and bought early TRs ?
Tongue in cheek, btw...(actually I CAN see the safety implications of heated screens, that is a really good price been quoted)...Are they being
made by Pilkingtons, and supplied through Uroglas? because AFAIK they are the only people with the mould for the Herald/Vitesse windscreen, or am I
wrong?
Good Luck, sounds like a worthy project.

Leon
The heated screens would go some way towards allowing me to see out of my car in the winter. My Vitesse is driven in all weathers all year
round. It would not remove any of the other interesting old car character. We need more people to actually drive our cars and heated screens
might help this happen.

Steve,
I did say it was tongue in cheek, I WAS kidding...and I did say that there are obvious safety benefits in such a conversion.
Yes, I agree it IS a great idea! Really...

I'm interested in a GT6 rear screen ...
But info ...
What will the fit of the screen be like?
Is the heater power rating the same ? (if not different size cable might be needed).
Will these be modern rear screen heater elements - i.e. can we expect it to last !

I would be very interested in both a front and rear vitesse window. Would these be like the ones found on mondern Fords etc,
and what power requirment would they need (would we need to upgrade the alternator?).
Regards,
AD

Looking back at March 2006 Courier I read in the letters section about another member who had looked at getting heated
screens made. A midlands based company called Uroglas could make laminated front and rear screens. The letter invited
readers to telephone him. Does anybody know what happened next?

So Jason how are you doing?
Any news? I posted news of your idea on some Yahoo message boards did you get any feed back?

While reading Novembers TR Action I noticed that TR Enterprises of Nottingham are offering these for TR4 to TR6 so
they will also fit MK1,2,3 Spitfires and MK1 & 2 GT6. Just thought I would mention it even though this thread
is to to do with Vitesse and GT6. Their part number is 906707HT

No news is bad news?
As this tread has gone quiet I have to assume no heated screens are going to be made.
If anybody knows otherwise please post here.
