    Yes I'm guessing so. More over it would be ashame to let it disappear to the scrap yard, if it would finish off someones Lemans project etc.
    
    Just got me thinking as Im seeing the guy this weekend.
    
    I would like to sport it on my spitfire, but it would mislead to many people...and i would have to let them down constantly.

        George, It would look great on any number of similar cars, how many ADU x, xx or xxx B registration numbers might be in the DVLA cellar awaiting ressurection?
        
        I do not know how the system works, coukld we ask the DVLA what ADU B registrations they have unassigned and ask if we can buy one each for our cars?

          Just had a look on their website.
          
          ADU 1T went for &163;1600 in 1996.
          
          I don't think they are selling any non-prefix numbers anymore, or you can't search for them.
          
          So I looked for B1 ADU, and that's sold too.
          But there are several other numbers with other letter prefixes for sale, for silly money, IMHO:

          And lots of the Bxx ADU series are available, for not-so silly, just mad, money:

          But there's nothing for B1 UDA; UDA seems to be an unused triplet.
          Given the Ulster meaning of 'UDA' probably wise to avoid.

            I bought R111LPH (see my surname) from the DVLA in 2001 for &163;255 inc the transfer fee (&194;&163;80). Bet you couldn't do it now.

                ADU 411 S
                ADU 82 X
                ADU 26 S
                
                ...though suffix registrations are normally only available from DVLA auctions (assuming these were bought by the dealers at one of the auctions) - http://www.dvlaregistrations.co.uk/home/en/Auction... one of which is happening today..

                  Yes, but bear in mind with those s reg and x reg number plates you can only put them on cars that age or newer!
                  
                  so late spits are ok, but more importantly Kevin Rochforts Acclaim could have it on to emphasize it's undoubtable Triumph Heritage!!!

              I am convinced ADU 1T used to be on an Alfa GTV.....
              
              Was in a garage a couple of doors up from my grandparents Many Years ago, rotten as anything.
              
              I could have had the car if I could have swept it up, but it was too rotten for even that to happen!

            A slight issue here, you can't put a younger plate on a car, by the time BXXXADU came out Triumph was dead and gone (I'm pretty sure not even aclaaims were being 1st registered by 1985!) so none of this series of plates could be fitted to any Triumph.

              B780YGO is on a Spitfire, registered 1/8/84.
              
              So this, and any later registered ones, if there are any, could wear the Bxx ADU plate. Although I think changing the plate or any modification would reduce the value of the last registered car.

              Guess by the large car, it belongs to a large person who owns another number plate with ADU on it, attached to the plate is a replica of a lemans car?!

          I didn't mean to imply that my car was more worthy than any other, It was just a fleeting thought. Perhaps only Fabrizio's GT6R is the most worthy of the ADU moniker?

            George, please don't apologise, no offence was taken nor intended I'm sure, your car would be a very worthy bearer of any ADU ..B number as are a number of others, Fabrizio's included
            
            i have deduced thet ADU 8 through to 20 B is not found on that RAC search engine, so I wonder if we could ressurect a series of these numbers, anyone know how?
