Hi Stephen,
Can't help much but wanted to mention that my TR6 also came from Lambs at Woodford Green in 1974. I tried to find out a bit about them some time ago
but didn't get very far other than finding the site was now a car park!
Regards,
Michael.

Yep,
I can confirm that there was a Lamb's in Shenfield as I grew up just down the Road in Brentwood, I can also confirm they were a Leyland
dealership as I remember going there with my Dad to get parts for his BMC 1100's amd 1300's he owned in the 70's. The Lambs Garage in Shenfield
changed to a Toyota dealership called IML in the late 70's. Not sure of the exact date but someone from my year at school was an apprentice
there while they were still Leyland and I left school in 76 but by the time I bought my first car in 1980 they were no longer a Leyland dealer
as I remember driving all the way to Chelmsford to get parts for my Mini as the nearest Leyland Dealership to Brentwood/Shenfield was up
there.
Chelmsford was a real BL stronghold as there were 3 Leyland Dealerships there in the 70's, Lex on the Widford Road industrial Estate, Mann
Egerton in London Road and Days on Broomfield Road. My first two Triumphs, a 76 Dolomite and a 75 Spitfire were both sold by Mann Egerton in
Chelmsford originally.
I better shut up now otherwise I'll be in danger of being accused of being a Triumph Anorak.....

We moved from Shenfield in the early 80's but as a wee lad I thought 'Lambs' rang a bell. Glad to hear I was correct. Used to live on the
Chelmsford Road opposite Homewood Ave. My mum had a mk1 Vitesse saloon & had a head on at the junction of Hall lane (near st marys
juniors) & my memory can't remember the road opposite. The car was repaired & sold on to a chap just up the road. Don't think NYE
964E aexists anymore but she left a lasting impression on me thus my purchase late last year of the mk11. Great car!!
