Hi to everyone!
I'am a new member, well i was a member of the TSSC 13 years ago! As a kid i fell in love with my parents Vitesse MK2 convertible back in the mid 70's, oh!
the joys of sitting in the back with the hood down and driving through the Mersey Tunnel to spend a day at the beach! then in the winter cuddled up to my
sister with a blanket over us and the torn hood flapping about, talk about draughty! It was my parents "everyday car" so any weather, good or bad we'd be
ferried about in the Vitesse!
That was the start of my love affair with Triumphs!
i bought my first herald 13/60 saloon (reg LVL80H) in 1989 for £500 , over the years 3 more Heralds came into my life, a 13/60 convertible
(reg BWW943H) which i saw parked on the street i took the chance of leaving a note on the windscreen asking if the car might be for sale, to my suprise it
was and i bought it for £800! That Herald came to a nasty end when i skided on ice and mounted a very high pavement! outriggers twisted and
lots of other nasty suprises when we got it up on the ramps!
then a 1200 (reg SMK500F) which i bought and later sold to a member of the Mersey area TSSC. Is this still around? Finally in 1992 another 13/60 saloon
(reg UVC723H) which after a few years of ownership and lack of time to spend on the car i sold this to Totally Triumph so it may be still around (if it is
then i have some info on this car, please contact me).......
Now up to present day ....Triumph Vitesse MK1 which i bought last year from a guy in Staffordshire, got loads of history.
So this is were the fun begins... ..again! Watch this space!!!
Does anyone know if there is a Liverpool area meet....there was one 13 years ago!!
Thanks
Lisa

Hi there, as a Scouser myself I'm pretty sure there is not a Liverpool meet any more. We always met in the Cottage Loaf (pub) in Thursaston (or
however you spell it!) over on the Wirral. It's not a long drive at all but I'm afraid it's been a while for me as I've comitted treachery and am
now working down in London. Loving the fact that I'm working in Chelsea and Liverpool recently thrashed them on penalties. Anyway...! If I were you
I'd contact Andy Todd through the members page. As far as I know he's still the area organiser and he will be able to tell you much more than I
can.

Thanks for that Ian, what a game! Athens here we come!! Anyway! back to Triumph Talk..i will contact Andy Todd, it is a good drive over
there..its a pity there is'nt a Liverpool meet...infact when i was in the old Mersey one we used to meet in St Helens at the Brown Edge Inn...a
guy named Ian Smith used to run it...lost his number years ago..but i may give the Wirral area a try ..more money for the bl**dy Mersey Tunnel
bosses!!!....
Many thanks

Hi Lisa,
Feel free to ring me, and I will give you any info you want regarding meetings and events. I do work shifts though, so it may take a couple
of attempts to get hold of me.
While you would be more than welcome at any of our meetings, if you are concerned about distance and tunnel tolls, there is also a
Lancashire area meeting. They are also a friendly bunch who would also make you very welcome. Hope too speak to you soon.
Andy Todd
