Hello all,
My first post just saying hello, ill no doubt be posting quite a bit in the future 'cause im just about to buy a spitfire 1500...
i'm not sure how wise of a decision this is though because im 24, have no mechanical knowledge and can only vaguely remember my mum using a choke in an old
fiat when i was about 6.
Regards
Paul

hi paul,
i new abit about machanics (well the basics!) and i found that since i have bought my gt6 i have learnt a hell of alot!!
im sure if you buy a hanyes manual, you will understand whats what! but if you do buy the spit all you need is an ability to drive and enough money to
fill the tank, and i am sure you will be fine, triumph engines are fairly reliable so you dont have to be a doctor of engineering to run one! jusr try
and learn the basics and that will help!
regards
Garry

Welcome to the club Paul you have picked a good time of year to buy a Spit
Dont worry about the lack of mechanical experience Spitfires are pretty easy to work on and the people on this site will be more than happy to offer
you advice and technical help.
Hope you enjoy your stay
Ian
PS make sure you get yourself to your local meeting
