Less than a month to go and the numbers are beginning to build up nicely. At least a dozen cars split fairly evenly between us and the local TR register
area and about 20 people. This will be a gentle jog around the lanes and is suitable for any car.
We will be leaving the top Ross Lables car park (this is the one on the Eastbound side of the Ross Spur at the end of the M50) at 9.00am and will be
travelling round the lanes of the Monmouthshire/Herefordshire borders visiting 3 Marcher Castles namely Skenfrith, White and Grosmont. These 3 are known as
the Trilateral and controlled trade routes between Herefordshire and Wales.
Lunch at a the Angel at Grosmont and then onto the final castle at Longtown in the lee of the Black Mountains.
There has been interest in winding up by visiting the Bridge Inn at Michaelchurch Escley which is a delightful little pub on the Herefordshire side of the
Black Mountains reached over a trout stream. When I say trout stream I DO mean a stream with wild trout in it that virtually mug you for scraps. We went
here two years ago for a Sunday Lunch pub run and a re-visit was requested a the time.
Anyway to give you an idea this run is about 40 miles each way and once we leave Ross, we will not be passing any garages so check the fuel situation!.
As always could anyone wishing to come along please let me know ASAP either by e-mail wyedean@tssc.org.uk or on or so I can sort out the catering side of
things.
See you on the day and drive safely
