Wye Dean Area

If you're in the Wye Dean area, then why not come and join in? It isn't actually "My Area" by the way I'm just the AO. I blinked first and became AO by
default when the previous incumbant moved. If what we've been doing doesn't interest you then give us some feed back. It's not a dictatorship, I write
up the area report but members organise all sorts of events, runs etc. The meeting tonight is about 8 miles from you at the Yew Tree Preston-on-Wye and
you would be more than welcome. It was me that put the flyer on your car, (outside Nat West in Broad Street if memory serves?) always keen to meet
other enthusiasts whether members, Triumph owners or not.
The AOs are volunteers and amongst other things exist to be a bridge between members and Club Officials. If your e-mail address is registered with the Club then you will have received communications from me that way. For heavens sake reply that's why I mail people if you have suggstions for the Club whether local or at National level!!
I've also sent out two mail shots to all members within our area over the past 2 years at my own expense. Unfortunatley being a small area we have no area funds
to do a regular mail shot so make the most of what we have, flyers and all to get
people involved with their own Club. I can only try 
Hope to see you tonight. I'd really like to get a closer look at that Spitfire as would another member with a 1500 Spit producing over 100bhp. I'm sure you could swap a few ideas with him for a start.

I go swimming in the River at Preston quite often in summer, the bit you have to climb over a gate, through a orchard, down a bank, across the river bed and the river splits round the island, quite a famous spot!

Yes that was my car in Broad Street, was living in Grosmont then... I
think the reason we/I never bothered with meets is the fact that we are all good mates anyways and live close to eachother so there was not huge
motiviation to travel or see others, bit inbred maybe!. But then Preston is only 35mins from me...
My Spits under surgery today having 3D ignition fitted, so its immobile till my mate pops over and wires it up! Not sure whether it'll be running tonite or mapped correctly, might be! If I fancy a test run i'll fill my leaky diff and pop over, time?

Any time from 8pm onwards. If it's any incentive Mike (landlord) usually produces a huge tray of sauages and chips for people to help themselves. I guess he gets so little passing trade that any extra (clubs etc) is worth the cost to make them feel welcome. Used to live in Preston-on-Wye up until 2 years ago when my wife ran a livery yard there. Nice part of the world. Mind you, Grosmont isn't bad either. Is the Angel still open? Used to go there when Alan had it some time ago-

Back in Ledbury atm. Angel was closed I think, alteast for a while- but has been re-opened, but that might wrong I was too busy working to drink beer! Preston is about the best area in the county imo.

Gonna have to agree there David. I have lived in Worcester/Pershore/Evesham area most of my life and love the place. But around Hereford and Borders is just stunning, First thing I did when I passed my test was a road trip with mates down to Symonds Yat, Whole county is gorgeous.
Infact the Girlfriend and I are gonna to be looking for a house in Herefordshire next year! -

I know the pub if its the one I am thinking of, it was owned by a mates dad for a while about 8years ago - we used to go there and drink him dry. Thesedays I am not a big drinker or socialiser really! Too many projects and things to do, live in the garage!! Must have seen you around Ledbury? Not in that Spit however!
The spitfire is working anyways on its dissyless ignition. I think I know the Yew there's only one pub in preston, right? After you go over that bridge they were rebuilding you take a right after a short period, its down there on the left?-
