Talk about anything regarding the TSSC
Section : Local Areas

Craig,
I know that this is problamatic through the office but is there some way that AOs could e-mail electronic members in their catchment through the message
board? If it's adata protection thingy, we wouldn't even need to see the addresses just have a button to click after keying in the message. I know that
most members with e-mail addresses prefer that sort of approach and as a small area with no funds, a mail shot is out of the question. Any thoughts?

Hi Clive,
There's no Data Protection issue, as we give every member the right to opt out of mailings via email if they so wish, and at no point do we disclose
the members' details to the Area Organiser.
All Area Organisers can request an email mailing to be sent to members in their catchment area. If any Area Organisers didn't know this then that's a
failing of the Area Liaison Officers in their role to keep Area Organisers updated of the support available to them.
The Club HQ and the Area Liaison Officers are there to help. If you have a message you'd like to send to the members in your Area, sent it to the Club
HQ and they should distribute it on your behalf.
How does that sound?
Craig

Clive
This method (via Trudi) has worked very well for me in the past.
Cheers
