Hi-ya,
Would any kind sole in the Edinburgh area have a front spring compressor I could borrow for a week or so, perhaps if I mentioned a nominal pint or two's
re-imbursement? I'm going to do a front suspension re-build (inc. new springs and shocks)...
Cheers

What I did was to buy a pair on eBay and then sold them after I did the job. I was not aiming for a profit but made a pound overall
- this option might appeal to a Scotsman!

Cheaky, v v cheaky! - It's lucky I'm an englishman!
I'd considered doing exactly what you've suggested, problem is no-ones selling one a.t.m.

They're not very expensive to buy, I bought mine for about &163;12 (I think) from Halfords but I've also seen some at Machine Mart at
about &163;25 for a set of three, and before anybody asks I do mean proper hook-on compressors, not just clips.

Why not make one?Piece of cake.Use the photo in the club book as a guide.I just happened to have a bent Landrover bumper lying around but
the section in the middle where the starter handle goes was ok and the right size hole, but any thick gauge plate will do.The annoying
thing was I had to buy,YES BUY, a length of threaded bar and big nuts and washers. It cost nearly &163;4.(two pints!!!Im still in
shock. But anyway once made it worked a treat.
