Any TSSC owners in Mid Norfolk?

Are there any TSSC members in Mid Norfolk, specifically in the Dereham area? If so, be good to go to events and club meets in convoy as there are only 2 members that I definitely know of who live to the west of Norwich (and I'm one of them!). There are 3 different 2000s that I often see in Dereham + 2 Vitesses I've seen and 1 Herald 1200 complete with TSSC sticker that I saw once! Please make yourselves known - I'm thinking of organising a run out around Mid Norfolk, similar sort of think to what Tony Cox did in January, though will probably wait until the weather is a bit warmer! Meet up somewhere mid morning, go for a drive around country lanes & B roads, stop offs en route for photos, refreshments, chatting, the loo etc & lunch at a country pub type of thing, all informal - would be great to have Breckland and further west represented!

  Cheers Andy. I wasn't including you in the 2, as I thought you were more south than west. So there's 3 of us that I know of, plus Jonathan, so that's 4! Clutch seems fine now. Thanks again to you and Tony. Still need to get a rebushing kit for the gearstick or at least the plastic washer to hold it together. Nice run back from yours along the B1135 - lots of bends and some straights, overtook a couple of cars then got blown into the weeds by a Honda S2000

Often can be seen in Morrison's car park or on my way back to North Pickenham!

  Cheers Jonathan. Don't think I've seen you or your car before... nice car btw. If you ever want to go to a club meeting, feel free to contact me if you want to go in convoy. We're a pretty good bunch really & the meetings are usually a good laugh . Plus we have a lovely venue now at Caistor Hall. Also plenty of events being planned by Tony Cox as we speak for the summer, so hopefully a list of these will appear shortly on the Norfolk website...

    There is some good driving around Mid/North Norfolk. Back roads to be sped along (just keep around 30 in the small villages as the police have little else to do up here).
    
    I often take SEJ and dog to Overstrand in the summer (next to Cromer) via Dereham, Guist and Holt. Nice drive if you don't get stuck behind an OAP in a Toyota. Don't tell everyone, but I know of a little place called the Cliff Top cafe there - fantastic trad food (even two veg options each day) and school dinner type puds. Open all year round. Keep it too yourself mind, don't want it to be found out by the riff raff!!
    
    One of my favourite roads is the B1135 from Dereham on the way to Barford, lots of nice tight bends. Talking of which, what about the Ovington bends near Watton!! (Much more exciting than the map shows!!!)

      Yep, B1135, B1110 & B1146 are all pretty great driving. Plenty of other B roads & country lanes worthy of a blast. The Ovington bends on the A1075 are great, especially if there's nowt else on the road and you can "straighten" some of the bends, especially that chicane bit (I'm sure you know exactly what I am talking about!). Was out that way on Saturday, tho' sadly not in the Vitesse . These are all roads that we need to take in on the drive - just need to plan the route to ensure it's all doable and not stupidly long!

If your organising a run out during the summer months then im sure that we could gather up a 'Posse' from the Suffolk area to make up the numbers, we have a few members that live in the west suffolk area, and we regularly support the TSSC racers when they race at Snetterton.

  Cheers Dave. Will keep you posted - thinking of near Wymondham on the A11 as a start point, easy enough for everyone to get to. Think a few of us from Norfolk will be coming on the Ipswich to Felixstowe run in May.

    Is Downham Market to west for you (and in the sticks), would love to travel around the area as fairly new here.
    Have seen a few triumphs in the area, 1 white stag I pass going the other way every day to work, a 1200 herald, white vitesse convertible and a mk1 1600 vitesse convertible on the way to kings lynn.
    
    Must be some nice roads towards holkham area

      Hi Craig,
      I was including you in my initial tally! There's a lot of top driving roads around this area - we often head up to Wells (next to Holkham) on summer evenings - it's a good drive from Dereham and looking forward to doing it with the roof down this year!
      Saw another Triumph in Dereham today - a 2 tone red & white 13/60.

        the 23rd looks good but it doesnt really say a start time! Also is everyone going the same way around because some of those roads are fairly small, we could cause one hell of a traffic jam!
        
        Not sure if I can make it, I'm travelling away that day, for 5 weeks, so not sure wife will let me out to play!

        Hi Craig. I guess the idea is to do it anti-clockwise as per the directions, but don't really know. Are you coming to the next meeting? Might be an idea if those who want to do the drive get together to work out where and when etc so we can meet up if possible. Not sure what bit I will do yet - either the eastern half or the western half!
        Could you not find a bigger picture btw?

        Still trying to convince the wife to let me out and play on the 23rd but that depends on weather also!

        i put a core plug back in and its running again but been to afraid to go anywhere in it. wendy will kill me if i blow it up again. are you coming sunday i might take it then as not to far if it has blown the head gasket

        waiting to hear from tony about sunday.(but hes all loved up at moment) when i spoke to him on tuesday he hadnt heard anything and was going to ring julie not heard anything since. not sure about head gasket but a drive to the showground should tell me one way or the other.cheers andy

        Don't hold your breath - I'm still waiting for Tony to give me a list of this years events, but he has other things on his mind at the moment (see Andy's earlier post!)
