Looking for a car you used to own, or interested in the history of your current car?

BTM459L was registered on 28th March 1973 and owned by a Peter May in Neew Bradwell, near Milton Keynes. It appears Peter moved to Scotland (Dundee and Lanark) before selling BTM on 12th June 1976 to a Winston Gregson of Stockport, who owned the car for less than 3 months before it moved on again to a Christopher Lewis of Weybridge (we're getting around the UK a bit here - I do wonder as to the circumstances behind this!).

Mr Lewis had the car for exactly 13 years before it came into the hands of Chris Jones of Abingdon who I bought the car from. It had been dry stored for some time, the engine had seized and had no sills. Chris had advertised in the Oxford Mail and a colleague where I work, who had a Spitfire knew I had once owned one too and had always wanted a GT6. At first Chris said he didn't want to sell and then, just as I had given up, he called me and she was mine! I've had BTM for over 10 years now, though she rusted in my drive until I found money and a garage to put things right.

Am currently hoping to have her on the road in full glory before the summer is out.
