Looking for a car you used to own, or interested in the history of your current car?

My Spitfire's registration was first issued in St Albans to Hert's Motors. I have failed to track down Hert's Motors but have found a Hart's motors in nearby Markyate who are still in business. As the info supplied by the local authority in Hertfordshire consists of a scribbled note, it's quite possible that the spelling was wrong.

Does anyone know if Hert's motors existed and were they a Triumph dealer in 1970? Perhaps you know Hart's Motors and know something of their history, were they a Triumph dealer at that time? The reg is RAR 954H, the car is a Signal Red Mark 3 which I have owned for about 3 years. Any info would be gratefully received.
